Joy Samford

Assistant Minister of Music

Joy Samford considers it an awesome privilege to serve as Trinity's Assistant Minister of Music,  which includes leading our Contemporary Worship Service.  For the past ten years, Joy has been a member of the Trinity Staff in a part-time capacity, as our Assistant Minister of Music, which also included responsibility for our children's music program, P.A.C.K. - Praise Arts for Creative Kids.  In June 2008, Joy became a full-time staff member, taking on the additional responsibilities of praise and worship leader.  She is excited about God's plan for the future of Trinity and where He is leading the music ministry. 

Joy is a graduate of the University of Alabama where she received her formal training in Vocal Performance and enjoyed many great experiences within the choral program.  She also have a degree in Elementary Education, which has fostered her love of learning and teaching. 

Joy and husband Bobby have three terrific children; Amanda, Chase, and Clay.  They are  very active in Trinity, in their school, and in the community.

• Favorite Foods:  Seafood

• Favorite Movie and Why:  "The Passion of the Christ" - It reminds me of the love and grace that Jesus has for each of us and that we should never take it for granted.

• Hobbies / Pastimes / Interests:  Running, reading, sitting on the beach, and spending time with my family.

• Ambitions / Aspirations:  To grow closer to my Savior daily, and to follow His lead.

• What Do You Like to Read:  The Bible, books by Beth Moore, Stormie Omartian, and Joyce Meyer

• People Are Surprised to Know:  We have had 27 kittens on our property at one time.

• Best Counsel / Advice You've Ever Been Given:  Keep your eyes on Christ.
