Darren Dean

Minister of Children

Darren Dean joined the Trinity Ministry Team in 2007.  He has a Master Degree in Elementary Education from Troy University and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Business from Auburn University.  After teaching elementary school and then serving, along with his wife and children, as a missionary to Ecuador for two years, Darren felt called to serve as the Minister of Children here at Trinity.

His love for Jesus and for children gives him a desire to see the two draw closer.  "I believe children are our greatest asset and resource and should be a priority in any church family."  Darren strives to make Trinity a place where all kids can learn about Jesus, grow in their faith in Him, and learn to share His love with others - all while having a great time!

Darren and his wife Holly both serve on staff at Trinity.  They have three children, Kayla, Jeremy, and Wyatt.

• Life Verse:  “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”  Proverbs 3: 4- 5

• Favorite Foods:  Chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate!

• Favorite Movie and Why:  “Facing the Giants” - This movie did the best job of showing God’s love and provisions when we seek Him of any movie I’ve seen. . . and it made me cry!  That’s pretty good!

• Hobbies / Pastimes / Interests:  Spending time with my family, reading, and woodworking.

• Ambitions / Aspirations:  I want to be obedient to God’s calling for my life and to be the best husband and dad I can possibly be.

• What Do You Like to Read:  My Bible, of course, then Christian fiction of all kinds.

• People Are Surprised to Know:  I can be really goofy sometimes! (Most kids know this about me already, though.)

• Best Counsel / Advice You’ve Ever Been Given:  My life verse: Proverbs 3: 5 - 6.  “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
