Amy McKay
Minister of Evangelism
Amy McKay grew up in North Alabama and accepted Christ during a revival when she was about nine years old. She and her Mom moved a few times and Amy says her faith became less important through her teen years. She came to Auburn, Alabama from Atlanta, Georgia to attend Auburn University. While attending Auburn, Amy met her future husband, Mike.
After graduating from Auburn University, Mike and Amy married and realized the need to put God first in their lives. They know that He led them to Trinity UMC in 1998, where they found a home with the Trinity Family. Since that time, they have been blessed with three boys, Braden, Parker, and Jared, and their house is always hopping!
Amy believes God led her to fill-in as Trinity's Interim Minister to Children in 2007. When Darren and Holly Dean were hired to permanently fill the positions in Children, she was thrilled, but knew God was not through with her. She knew He wanted her to continue to serve Him in ministry.
In the summer of 2007 Amy joined the Trinity Staff as our Minister of Evangelism. Amy loves meeting new people, she says she is still working on getting better with names. Most of all, Amy enjoys welcoming people to Trinity and helping them find their place in the Trinity Family.
